Special Trains Announced for Puja Festival Rush
To accommodate the increased demand during the Puja festival, special trains will be operated between Chennai, Kanniyakumari, Kottayam, and Ernakulam. The Southern Railway has announced the schedule for these "Trains on Demand" (TOD) services.
Chennai Egmore – Kanniyakumari Special Trains (Bi-Weekly Superfast):
- Train No. 06193: Chennai Egmore to Kanniyakumari will depart at 11:45 PM on October 10 and 12, arriving in Kanniyakumari at 12:20 PM the next day.
- Train No. 06194: Kanniyakumari to Chennai Egmore will depart at 2:45 PM on October 11 and 13, arriving in Chennai the following day.
These special services will consist of 10 Sleeper Class Coaches, 6 General Second Class Coaches, and 2 Luggage Cum Brake Vans. Passengers are advised to plan their travel accordingly during this busy festival season.
