Cyclone Ockhi update (Tamil Nadu Weatherman)

Coonoor belt needs to watched, while Chennai and surrounding districts to see on and off rains as more bands are forming as a result of Cyclone Ockhi outer bands and pull effect.
One more good spell for Kanyakumari, Thoothukudi and nellai expected today and rains will reduce after that.
Kanyakumari, Thoothukudi and nellai will see one more spell of rains as one of the outer bands of Ockhi is expected to fall over them. May be by noon and rains are expect. The other western districts such as Dindigul and Theni will also get rains. Periyar belt in Theni will get heavy rains.
Papanasam-Manimuthur-Kodayar and Manjolai belt -Very very heavy rains expected. Expecting very very heavy rains in this belt. Watchout for warnings. Papanasam dam may get filled up and water will be released into the River.
Delta-Cuddalore belt
Kariakkal - Cuddalore belt and surrounding regions will see good bands falling as a result of pull effect with cyclone on other side. The interior districts in this region such as Trichy, villupuram, Tiruvannamalai will also get rains.
