The State Government alerts parents with a list of 25 schools all of which are unrecognized in Chennai. The Department of School Education has rolled out a list as per the Madras High Court orders, and under Section-18(1) of the RTE Act 2009. The department has insisted school management to get all the needed permissions from the authorities. Furthermore, the school management is also requested to get NOC.

Following this, these schools were subjected to inspection, as the Regional and District Education Officials went on with the process. All the schools that have not obtained NOC or needed recognition are given notices, keeping in account the future of students studying or admitted in these schools. Students from these schools will not be allowed to attend public exams.

On the whole, 25 schools in Thiruvallur are found not to have obtained NOC or mandatory recognition. Hence, the school education department has requested parents to refrain from admitting their children in these schools. In the notices issued to these schools, there are warning stating that the managements would take legal actions on violators.
