Changes in MEMU Train Services Due to Engineering Works
In a bid to prioritize passenger safety and ensure smooth train operations, the Southern Railway has announced changes to MEMU train services in the Arakkonam - Jolarpettai section, as part of ongoing engineering works. A Line Block/Signal Block will be implemented between Vaniyambadi and Kettandapatti railway stations on 17th, 18th, 20th, 25th, and 27th December 2024, from 11:00 hrs to 15:00 hrs (4 hours).
As a result, the following MEMU train services will be affected:
Full Cancellation of MEMU Train Services:
1. Train No. 06417 (Katpadi – Jolarpettai MEMU): This train, scheduled to depart from Katpadi at 09:30 hrs, will be fully cancelled on 17th, 18th, 20th, 25th, and 27th December 2024.
2. Train No. 06418 (Jolarpettai – Katpadi MEMU): This train, scheduled to depart from Jolarpettai at 12:45 hrs, will also be fully cancelled on 17th, 18th, 20th, 25th, and 27th December 2024.
Passengers are advised to plan their travel accordingly and seek alternative arrangements. The railway authorities have assured that these adjustments are necessary to carry out essential engineering works for the overall safety and betterment of train services.
