CII to Host AI Summit in Chennai on December 17-18
The Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) Tamil Nadu will organize the 22nd edition of CII Connect on December 17 and 18 in Chennai. Titled “Artificial Intelligence in Action: Real-World Applications in Business,” the summit will explore the transformative potential of AI across industries, focusing on improving operations, efficiency, and innovation.
The event will be chaired by Srivats Ram, Chairman of CII Tamil Nadu, and co-chaired by Rajesh Varrier, EVP and Global Head of Operations at Cognizant India. It will be inaugurated by IT Minister Palanivel Thiaga Rajan, with Kumar Jayant, Additional Chief Secretary of the IT Department, joining as a panelist.
Over 400 senior leaders are expected to attend, with discussions covering AI’s role in rural and urban transformation, manufacturing, supply-chain resilience, smart governance, and community empowerment. The summit will also explore next-gen technologies such as quantum computing, AR/VR, and the development of AI-enabled products.
