Special Trains Announced for Republic Day Rush
To cater to the extra rush of passengers during Republic Day, Southern Railway has announced the operation of special trains as follows:
1. Chennai Egmore – Kanniyakumari – Tambaram Superfast Specials
Train No. 06053:
Departure: Chennai Egmore at 22:40 hrs on 24th January 2025 (Friday)
Arrival: Kanniyakumari at 12:00 hrs the next day
Service: 1 Special Trip
Train No. 06054:
Departure: Kanniyakumari at 20:30 hrs on 26th January 2025 (Sunday)
Arrival: Tambaram at 08:30 hrs the next day
Service: 1 Special Trip
Coach Composition:
- 1 AC Two-Tier Coach
- 5 AC Three-Tier Coaches
- 8 Sleeper Class Coaches
- 1 Second-Class Coach (Divyangjan Friendly)
- 1 Luggage cum Brake Van
