Before delimitaion, Uppiliapuram, Varahur, Ariyalur, Andimadam, Jayankondam and Arani were present in this Constituency.
After delimitaion, Uppiliapuram, Varahur and Andimadam Assemblies were Retrieved. Ariyalur and Jayankondam Assemblies were joined to Chidambaram Constituency. Thuraiyur and Manachanallur are newly formed and Joined. Lalgudi, Musiri and Kulithalai are also joined to Arani. Total number of Voters in the Arani Constituency is 10,49,033.
