Ramanathapuram Constituency: Ramanathapuram Lok Sabha constituency, is one of the important constituencies in the state of Tamil Nadu. Anwhar Raajhaa.a of ADMK is the sitting MP of the Ramanathapuram constituency. In 2014 General Elections he defeated Mohamed Jaleel .s of the DMK with the margin of 1,19,324 votes. In previous elections, 69 percent of people cast their votes.The constituency has total population of 18,98,025, of which, 73.89% live in rural areas and 26.11% in urban.
