Theni Constituency: Theni Lok Sabha Constituency is newly formed in the 15th Indian General Election, 2009. Theni State Assembly was Retrieved in 2009 Delimitation, but Theni was made as Lok Sabha Constituency in 2009 by Indian Election Commission. The total number of Electors in this Constituency is 10,74,931. In this Constituency four State Assemblies were joined from Thenin District and two Assemblies were joined from Madurai District. Periyakulam Lok Sabha Constituency was renamed as Theni Constituency in 2009. Usilampatti and Sholavadan Constituencies were joined from Dindigul Lok Sabha Constituency.
