Dharmapuri Constituency: Dharmapuri Lok Sabha Constituency was formed in the year 1977. In that time Harur (SC), Morappur, Dharmapuri, Pennagaram, Mettur and Taramangalam were the State Assemblies in Dharmapuri Constituency. Indian Election Commission made changes in the boundaries of MP Constituencies in 2009. After thar Morappur and Taramangalam State Assemblies were retrived by Election Commission. Total Number of Electors in this Constituency was 10,69,601. Palacodu State Assembly from Krishnagiri Constituency and the newly formed Sate Assembly Pappireddippatti was merged to Dharmapuri Constituency.
