Coimbatore Constituency

Coimbatore Constituency: Coimbatore Lok Sabha is in active from 1952 to present. Singanallur, Coimbatore West, Coimbatore East, Perur, Palladam, Tiruppur were the State Assemblies before delimitation in 2009. After that Tiruppur was seperated and made as new Lok Sabha Constituency. Perur State Assembly is retrieved and added to Thondamuthur State Assembly in 2008. Removing of these two Assemblies newly formed Kaundampalayam and Sulur Assemblies were added to Coimbatore Lok Sabha Constituency. For the past two general election Right and Left Communist Parties were the winners of this Constituency. Total Electors in this Constituency is 11,63,781.
